Authentic Revolutionary Period flint lock pistol, Mid 18th Century…Wow!

Antique Flintlock Pistol

I’m not an expert on antique guns, but you don’t need to be one to recognize the historical significance of this early piece.  Circa mid 18th century, this authentic period piece was found in a local Pennsylvania estate not far from Philadelphia.  It is nicely relief carved and beautifully decorated.  Looks like a dragon inscribed above the trigger, possibly a maker’s mark?
